St. Genesius- patron saint of actors

In the "play within the play" we get to see a depiction of the conversion of St. Genesius. I always wondered who he was and so this is a great way to get into it. The writing style of the Baroque was certainly over the top (like every other art form of the time) But it is a fun way to see the power of what he must have experienced.
